This summer, the Kingdom Representative of the province of North Brabant Wim van de Donk gave the official go-ahead for the organization of the Landscape Triennial 2020. The event will take place in the heart of National Landscape The Green Forest / Van Gogh National Park (in formation).
The privince of North Brabant stands for immense tasks in the field of housing, agriculture, sustainable energy and climate adaptation. Developments within these fields must be linked to landscape development. Eric Luiten, chairman of Landscape Triennial 2020: “Many social ambitions have to be integrated into the landscape topography; the cultural landscape of the Netherlands. With the Landscape Triennial 2020 we increase the insight into our landscape and we can visualize and discuss all aspects of the necessary transformation.”
Theme 2020: High Green – Innovating the Landscape
Designers, experts, residents, entrepreneurs, farmers and policy makers take up the challenge together to realize a ‘landscape metropolis’ during the Landscape Triennial 2020. Ten Living Labs are being set up under the heading ‘High Green – Innovating the Landscape’: pre-formulated concrete landscape assignments that are both relevant and local, on which the spotlight is focused during the Landscape Triennial.
