Maike van Stiphout appointed at A’dam Academy

The Academy of Architecture Amsterdam has appointed Maike van Stiphout head of the Master of Landscape Architecture as of 1 September 2014. Van Stiphout is appointed for four years.  Marieke Timmermans, current heas of the Master, will step down on 1 September.

Maike van Stiphout studied landscape architecture at the Wageningen University and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. In 1993 she founded  DS Landscape Architects with Bruno Doedens. Van Stiphout served on the ASMAL committee and the Culture Council and is a member of several quality teams and advisory groups. She is a jury member of the Heritage Award, the Prize for Cultural Heritage of the European Union, and has been a guest lecturer at the academies of architecture in Arnhem and Amsterdam.
