Karres + brands wins Copenhagen Municipality Architectural Award

20042016

Karres + brands and the Danish office Polyform have won the Copenhagen Municipality Architecture Award for their design of the museum garden of the Statens Museum for Art (SMK) in the category parks.

The Copenhagen Architecture Prize is awarded annually to new projects in architecture, renovations, parks and urban spaces. In 2012 these two firms won the prize for the first time. The new museum garden connects the museum with the park Østre Anlæg, embedding the SMK naturally in the park. The museum garden is the new entrance area for the SMK and the park.
