Foundation AMS-Institute step closer

18022014

The Municipality of Amsterdam, the Executive Board of TU Delft and the Executive Board of Wageningen UR have agreed on the foundation of the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS), an institute in the field of applied urban technology and design.

It is expected that the parties will sign the contract after the city councils’ approval. This marks the end of an intense period of contract formation and the beginning of a new period in which the academic partners TU Delft, Wageningen University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and all public and private AMS partners can establish the Institute.

The next few months the institutes will develop the scientific programs. MIT and several companies, including Shell, will be involved in the proces.
