West 8 / Madrid Rio

The largest inner-city park in the world is located in Madrid. The Madrid Rio project by West 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture has created a recreational zone along the Manzanares river. The dominating motive for the biggest part of the project is water. What once was an intrusive motorway is today an urban park that connects people and districts.
